My Favorite Things

So let me share some of my favorite things of late.

#1 The DVR is a wonderful invention. My very first blog was about how my new DVR was my new best friend. Now that the new fall TV schedule is in full swing I am being reminded once again how sweet this invention is.

#2 The aforementioned fall TV schedule. Dancing with the Stars is back, along with Ugly Betty and Grey's... how I have missed you Bruno, Betty and McDreamy. The new shows I have checked out and enjoy are Private Practice, the Grey's spin-off. I have held a torch for Tim Daly since the days of Wings when he was Joe Hackett... my little Joey Bear (kudos to anyone who actually remembers that episode of Wings when Joe's psycho classmate from high school is delusional and kidnaps him to relive the prom in his basement, and nobody believes him that she is a stalker because she is completely normal with everyone else). I have also watched Life, on Wednesday at 9:00 on NBC (I think) It is about a cop that was framed for a triple murder and spent the last 12 years in jail. It is eventually discovered that he was framed so he is released, got a HUGE settlement from the LAPD and he asked to be a cop again. He is completely lacking all social skills, evidently you don't need them in prison, his new partner got stuck with him because she is recovering from drug addiction, so hilartiy ensues. Plus, his ex-wife if still a good friend (she was his lawyer and got him out of jail) and he likes to constantly pull her current husband over for traffic violoations, oh, and he is still trying to figure out who framed him... ah revenge I love it.

#3 95.3 The Wolf a new country radio station in Champaign-Urbana. It is great. They don't play the same 12 songs over and over again like they do on WIXY, and they play more old stuff. Two favorites I have heard in the past few days "Redneck Girl" and "Baby Likes to Rock it like a Boogie Woogie Choo Choo Train". Excellent station... kudos to Allison for bringing to my attention at work the other day.
