Today is my goddaughter, Abigail's 4th birthday! Happy birthday Abigail!!!
Unlike her older sister, Sidney, who was excited to turn 4 because "3 was just so boring", Abby has her eye on an even bigger prize. When I quizzed her last weekend about turning 4, the first thing she said was "Yes I will be 4 and then in one more birthday I will be 5, and then I can chew gum!" Jenn, has established a Thomas family rule... you can chew gum when you are 5. By then your are more or less capable of not swallowing every piece of gum you are given, and can be trusted not to dispose of gum by leaving it on the couch or your sister's hair. It makes sense to me... but if there is anyone who is going to test your rules... it is Abby! :)
I could tell you so many more stories about Abigail, but I think I will stop with that. Ah don't you miss the innocence of youth sometimes... when your big dreams were of chewing gum!
